Password manager LastPass has a promo currently which offers six months of a premium subscription for free, if you’re an education user with an .edu email.
LastPass has apps available for iOS, Mac, Android, Windows, Linux and browser extensions. A premium subscription costs $4 per month in Canada, so a six month free trial will save you $24.
The password manager says it’s used by 13.5 million people and stores your passwords online with AES-256 bit encryption with PBKDF2 SHA-256 and salted hashes for security.
