Western Canada retailer London Drugs is clearing out Apple’s AirPort Extreme wireless router at its retail locations.
The AirPort Extreme is no longer sold by Apple and only rarely makes it into the refurbished store ($169). The router is priced at $249.99 but the clearance price is $99.99, saving you 60% off the MSRP.
This sixth-generation AirPort Extreme offers 801.11ac Wi-Fi, a beamforming antenna and dual-band support. For $99.99, it will make a decent router for your home use.
Despite no longer making the AirPort Extreme, Apple released a firmware update last month to improve the unit’s security.
Stock is limited to 1-2 units per store, according to RFD, so your mileage may vary (YMMV) in this deal. London Drugs has various locations in B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan.
