Spotify Premium Free Trials Triple to 3 Months, Matching Apple Music

Spotify has announced its Premium music trial has now tripled from one to three months, starting today. The move matches Apple Music’s standard three-month trial offer.

In a blog post, the streaming music service announces, “Beginning August 22, eligible users will receive the first three months on us for free when they sign up for Spotify Premium.”

Spotify Premium three-month trials are available today for individual and student plans as well, and the new extended trials are only for those who haven’t already tried Premium before.

Previously, we’ve seen Spotify offer three-month trials for $0.99, but now it’s a standard offer.

With a Spotify Premium account, there are no ads, while support for offline downloads are available as well. The company says their music catalogue spans 50 million tracks, while podcasts are at 450,000.
