Fido and Koodo Offering iPhone XR, iPhone 8 Deals with Bonus $100-200 Gift Cards

Fido and Koodo are offering up some deals on Apple’s iPhone XR and iPhone 8, with bonus gift cards depending on the retailer where you sign up on a two-year plan.

Here’s what’s available…

Koodo

• 64GB iPhone XR: $120 upfront on Medium Tab ($360 loan); plans from $50/4GB
• Walmart: $100 gift card bonus with activations
• iPhone 8: $0 upfront on Medium Tab ($360 loan) with $200 gift card at London Drugs

If you stick with Koodo for two years, your iPhone XR cost works out to $120 plus the $360 Medium Tab, or $480. Add in the $35 activation fee and subtract the $100 gift card, and the cost is $415 for your iPhone XR, which currently retails for $1,029.

Do note Apple is expected to announce a successor to the iPhone XR on September 10 at its special event, confirmed today.

As for the iPhone 8 at Koodo from London Drugs, the total cost for the phone is $360 plus your $35 activation fee, minus the $200 gift card, so $195, which is not bad.

Both Fido and Koodo offers are identical once you add in the tab charge of $15/month for 24 months, making a starting plan $65/4GB ($15+$50).

Both carriers are also saying you can get the iPhone XR for $0 upfront if you sign a two-year contract with a Tab Large or Large plan, which starts at $95 per month with 10GB data (Fido) or $75/10GB (Koodo).
