Adobe Illustrator for iPad is Coming, Private Beta Sign Up Available
Adobe made a variety of announcements today to kick off its Adobe MAX 2019 Conference in Los Angeles, California.
On top of Adobe Photoshop for iPad hitting the App Store ($13.49 CAD/month or included with your Adobe subscription) and an updated Adobe Fresco painting and drawing app for Apple’s tablet, and the AR app Aero for iOS, the company also previewed Illustrator for iPad coming soon:
What’s our vision for Illustrator on the iPad? We’re still in the early stages, but fundamentally, we’re reimagining the Illustrator experience from the ground up to take advantage of the unique capabilities a tablet offers in terms of touch and Apple pencil. We’ve connected with thousands of designers to understand how they could use a tablet in their creative process.
Adobe says Illustrator for iPad will be connected to all your devices through Creative Cloud, letting you work on desktop and iPad. You’ll be able to work with Illustrator files on iPad with an “intuitive experience”, while also leverage your tablet’s camera and Apple Pencil.
“As we evolve the experience, we’re working with the Illustrator community around the globe to infuse your input. We are currently running an exclusive private beta,” which you can click here to sign up for. This app again sounds like it will require an Adobe subscription to use.
