Apple Announces App Store Connect Holiday Schedule: Dec. 23-27

Apple has announced its App Store Connect dates for the latter’s holiday schedule, which will see the service closed from December 23-27:

The busiest season on the App Store is almost here. Make sure your apps are up to date and ready for the holidays. New apps and app updates will not be accepted December 23 to 27 (Pacific Time), so any releases should be scheduled, submitted, and approved in advance. Other App Store Connect and developer account features will remain available.

Apple makes this announcement every year, meaning app updates and releases won’t hit the App Store from December 23-27, giving its approval teams time off for the holidays.

What savvy developers will do ahead of this period is either make their app free or heavily discounted, so they can take over the top App Store charts and be visible for new iPhone and iPads opened on Christmas day.

Last year, Apple launched a new App Store Connect iOS app for developers to monitor their apps, replacing the legacy iTunes Connect.
