If you’ve never subscribed to Apple Music before, now may be the time to give the music streaming service a try, with the following Black Friday offer.
Apple acquired the app Shazam back in December 2017 and it’s still alive and well in the App Store. Right now, from November 29 to December 2, there’s an offer of six months free Apple Music for users in Canada, the USA and the UK.
Here’s how to get it according to Shazam:
*This weekend only* Nov 29-Dec 2 download then Shazam a song to get up to 6 months of free Apple Music.
The fine print says it’s only for “new Apple Music users in US, UK & Canada only, terms apply.”
Apple told Macworld UK former subscribers can also get in on this deal, but for 3 free months only, saying “If you were a previous subscriber and resubscribe you get three free months”.
Once you download Shazam and launch it, swipe to the right and tap the ‘Try Now’ Apple Music banner which says you can “get up to 6 months free of Apple Music” and follow the prompts. We can confirm previous subscribers can get three free months again.
Normally, Apple Music includes a free 3-month offer, so this deal within Shazam doubles that. Apple Music costs $9.99 CAD per month for a regular subscription, pricing in line with other premium streaming services.
