Strava Now Lets You Import Workouts Recorded on Apple Watch

Fitness app Strava has been updated to now let workouts recorded on Apple Watch to sync to your Strava profile, as the latter has added HealthKit integration.

This means when using the Workouts app on Apple Watch, these activities can now be imported to Strava. Previously, Strava users needed to use paid third party apps to import their Apple Watch workouts, or record using the Strava Apple Watch app, which was limited to just recording cycling or runs.

To get this new feature, update Strava in the App Store, then go to your Strava profile within the app and head to: Settings > Applications, Services, and Devices > Health.

“Connect to Health to begin importing Apple workouts and sending Strava activities to Health,” reads the setting.

Strava says the update also includes activity import improvements and also removed duplicate uploads. You can now also edit activity on your phone, while paid Summit members can “now also see their heart rate, power, and Grade Adjusted Pace on Segments.”

Strava is essential for tracking your cycling or running workouts, giving you insight on your workout data and to see if you’re improving on particular segments or not. For those times you forget your Garmin for example, or just want to record a run with Apple Watch, you can now rely on the latter to get your upload to Strava.
