Tesla Model Y Performance Review Shows Off First Drive and More [VIDEO]

Tesla’s first Model Y deliveries arrived for customers in the United States last week, and while we’ve seen video overviews of the Dual Motor AWD Performance configurations, we have yet to see a first drive video.
YouTube channel Throttle House has just published its full review of a Tesla 2020 Model Y Performance, which goes 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds (3.7 seconds to 100 kph).
“The moment you mash on the throttle, it flies,” explains co-host James Engelsman, based in Toronto. Handling is not quite like the Model 3, but it’s better than the Model X when taking curves, says Engelsman. The Model Y tested had the Performance upgrade with a sportier suspension, larger 21-inch Uberturbine wheels and larger brakes.
The video is well done and has comedic moments because one of the channel’s co-hosts and cameraman, Thomas Holland, was stuck in Toronto, due to the COVID-19 outbreak and was unable to film in California.
Canadian Model Y orders are set to launch in “mid-2020”, with most orders at the “prepare for delivery” stage.
