Apple ProRes RAW for Windows 1.0 (Beta) Download Now Available

Apple has released ProRes RAW for Windows 1.0 (Beta) for download, which allows the “playback of ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ video files in compatible applications on Windows systems.”

According to the company, this 1.0 beta of ProRes RAW for Windows works with the following software:

• Adobe After Effects (Beta
• Adobe Media Encocder (Beta)
• Adobe Premiere (Beta)
• Adobe Premiere Rush (Beta)

According to the company, professionals can “use Apple ProRes RAW and Apple ProRes RAW HQ to bring the same performance, quality, and ease of use introduced by Apple ProRes to raw media.”

For Mac Pro (2019) users, the new Afterburner card ($2,500 CAD) “accelerates decoding and playback of multiple streams of ProRes and Pro Res RAW video files for even better performance.”

Requirements for ProRes RAW for Windows 1.0 (beta) is Windows 10 (64-bit). The download size for this software is 737 kilobytes.
