Rogers Ignite TV has launched the XITE interactive music video stream app, an interactive app that lets users watch videos from a variety of genres.

XITE has up to 100 curated music video channels, offering a variety of genres, decades, moods, themes and more, with users able to skip and like videos, which also creates a personalized experience.

“With the introduction of XITE on Ignite TV, we are giving our customers access to even more content across diverse genres and bringing them together in one premium destination for entertainment,” said Eric Bruno – SVP, 5G, Content and Connected Home, in an issued statement to iPhone in Canada. “XITE is the first music video streaming app on Ignite TV and the first in a stream of music apps coming to the service.”

According to Rogers, Ignite TV customers can create their own XITE channel with the Mixer feature and use the Ignite TV voice remote to find the app by saying “XITE (pronounced ‘excite’).

XITE is ad-supported but is available ad-free and with unlimited song skips for $7.99 CAD per month. The company was founded in the Netherlands and through partners, reaches over 80 million households across Europe and North America.
