Apple Card Launching Monthly Interest-Free Payment Plans for Apple Products

Apple already offers an installment payment plan for the iPhone, but it could extend similar plans to all kinds of other Apple hardware in the near future — as long as you make your purchases through the Apple Card.

According to sources speaking to Bloomberg, Apple Card owners will reportedly soon be able to pay for their purchases of Apple products such as iPads and Macs through interest-free installments.

For iPads, Macs, the Apple Pencil, iPad keyboards, and the Mac XDR Display monitor, a 12-month, interest-free payment plan will be available, and for AirPods, HomePod, and Apple TV, the plans will be six months interest free.

The program aims to increase enrollment for the Apple Card and boost sales of Apple products by letting users split the cost over time, according to Bloomberg report. Installment payments will be added to a customer’s monthly Apple Card bill and will be managed through the Wallet app.

It won’t be the same 24-month period offered for last year’s iPhones, but it’s still an improvement on having to pay the whole thing in one go.

Apple Card is unavailable outside of the United States, but it makes for good discussion purposes to imagine what features Apple may offer, if the service ever launches in Canada and beyond.
