Right now, some Fido customers in Ontario are seeing a promotion being offered in the form of a $45/7GB plan on contract with a $0 iPhone 6s in gold or pink (it’s still worth $625 on paper), when you add an extra line.
The ageing iPhone 6s normally costs $26.04/month with the Fido Payment Program, but that cost is axed with this promo, making for a free smartphone. The iPhone 6s will still support iOS 14 when the latter debuts this fall. If you don’t care about having the latest iPhone this might be for you.
The plan includes unlimited Canada-wide calling and text, along with add-ons such as Voicemail.
Normally, the plan is listed as $50/7GB (5GB + 2GB), but when you add an iPhone 6s on a two-year term, it drops to $45 per month and the smartphone becomes free.
According to RFD, this plan is available for new and existing customers. There’s also a $40/7GB promo plan for bring your own device (BYOD) customers.
