Tesla has dropped the price of its Model Y compact SUV in Canada, slashing $6,000 CAD off the Long Range AWD variant.
According to Tesla North, the Long Range AWD Model Y sees a $6,000 CAD price drop, while the Performance AWD gets a $2,000 CAD price drop, but also now includes the Performance Upgrade Package as standard (21” Uberturbine wheels; performance suspension and brakes; aluminum pedals), plus also gets a range boost to 468km, up from 451km.
The updated Model Y prices are below:
Long Range: $69,990 CAD (-$6,000; was $75,990 CAD)
Performance: $83,990 CAD (-$2,000; was $85,990 CAD)
On paper, the Model Y now starts below $70,000 CAD.
Early adopters of the Tesla Model Y, which delivered last month in Canada, must feel pretty bad given this price drop.
