Apple, Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Sign Multi-Year First-Look Deal

Leonardo DiCaprio’s film and television production company Appian Way has just inked a multi-year first-look deal with Apple, Deadline is reporting. Co-run by Jennifer Davisson, DiCaprio’s production company previously had a deal at Paramount Pictures.

The new contract pact builds on Apple and DiCaprio’s existing relationship collaborating on the upcoming Martin Scorsese-directed feature ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, which stars DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, as well as the recent series order for ‘Shining Girls,’ a thriller drama starring Elisabeth Moss produced by Appian Way and MRC Television.

Scorsese’s upcoming film is based on the award-winning 2017 true crime book “Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI” that centered on members of an Oklahoman Native American tribe in the 1920s whose murders sparked a major federal investigation.

DiCaprio’s production label has joined a roster of companies under deals with Apple that includes Idris Elba’s Green Door Pictures, Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions, A24 and Imagine Documentaries, as well as trusted studios for kids and family entertainment, Sesame Workshop and Peanuts.
