Earlier this week, Apple introduced a new 27-inch iMac, featuring improved performance, an improved Retina 5K display, better camera, speakers, and mics, starting at $2,399 CAD in Canada. Today, Japanese website Mac Otakara has published the very first benchmarks of the newly released iMac.
Looking at the Geekbench benchmarks of the 2020 27-inch iMac with 3.0GHz Intel Core i5 processor and Radeon Pro 5300 graphics, once can notice the performance improvement of almost 20% as compared to last year, thanks to the new 10th-generation Intel Core processors which, according to Apple, offer up to 65% improved performance.
Graphics capabilities of the 2020 iMac also show significant improvement from last year, with nearly 40% better performance as compared to 2019 models.
According to Apple, the next-generation AMD Radeon Pro 5000 graphics are capable of delivering up to 55% faster performance than the previous generation.
