Apple to Introduce Service Bundles Dubbed ‘Apple One’ Later This Year

Apple appears to be in the process of introducing new service bundles under the name of ‘Apple One’, later this year. The bundles will available in different tiers, allowing Apple users to bundle their services together for a lower monthly cost and encourage users to subscribe to additional services.

Word comes by way of Bloomberg who reports that sources familiar with the matter have said that Apple is prepping the launch of Apple One bundles this October. Apple One will likely launch alongside the new iPhone 12 models, which means we may see Apple announce the bundles and different tiers during its expected online event later this year.

Apple is supposedly keen on having users subscribe to additional services, generating more recurring revenue for the company. Apple One will reportedly be offered in four tiers. The first is an entry-level bundle which grants access to Apple Music and Apple TV+. The next bundle, which will cost a bit more adds Apple Arcade into the mix. The following tier incorporates Apple News+. Finally, the more expensive bundle will include all the aforementioned services alongside increased iCloud space.

Apple’s fiscal third-quarter results showed that Apple’s newer services were off to a slow start in terms of gaining new subscribers. The introduction of Apple One could make a compelling case for users to sign up for additional services, allowing the respective services such as Apple TV+ and Apple News+ to gain the growth the company is looking for.

The new bundles are geared towards families and will be included in the Family Sharing system. Sources have said that the bundles will offer savings of roughly $2-$5 per month depending on the Apple One bundle. Apple has tested packaged services last year by creating a bundle of Apple Music and Apple TV+ for students.
