28 Parks Canada EV Charging Stations Now Live with Tesla Donated Chargers

Parks Canada has announced 28 locations now have electric vehicle charging stations live and available to use, thanks to donations from Tesla made last year.

As of writing, 172 electric vehicle charging stations donated by Tesla have been installed at 14 national parks, 12 national historic sites, one national marine conservation areas and in Rouge National Urban Park, reports Tesla North.

The full list of locations with Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations (half Tesla, half J-1772 at each location) are as follows:

  2. Kejimkujik National Park (Nova Scotia)
  3. Cape Breton Highlands National Park (Nova Scotia)
  4. Kouchibouguac National Park (New Brunswick)
  5. Fundy National Park (New Brunswick)
  6. Georgian Bay Islands National Park (Ontario)
  7. Pukaskwa National Park (Ontario)
  8. Point Pelee National Park (Ontario)

Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba previously had two Tesla charging stations installed.

Parks Canada said the new EV charging stations will “better serve visitors who have chosen electric vehicles and is part of Parks Canada’s ongoing work in greening operations and fighting climate change.”

The Government of Canada plans to have 38 total Parks Canada locations with Level 2 charging stations donated from Tesla implemented this fall.
