According to Apple’s release notes, “macOS Big Sur 11 beta 5 is not currently supported for iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020).”
“Updating to macOS Big Sur 11 beta from previous versions of macOS might take significantly longer than expected. Data loss could occur if the update is interrupted,” explains Apple.
For Apple Security Bounty hunters, “macOS Big Sur 11 beta 5 is designated as qualifying for the 50% Apple Security Bounty bonus payment for issues that are unknown to Apple or reintroduced in this release.”
