“iPhone SE packs our most powerful chip into our most popular size at our most affordable price and we’re excited to be making it in India for our local customers,” stated Apple. The units are being assembled by Wistron at its facility in Bengaluru, which also assembles the iPhone 7.

Apart from Wistron, another Apple manufacturer Foxconn has an assembling unit in Chennai, where two of the most popular iPhones in the world are assembled. Both the iPhone XR and iPhone 11 have topped the selling charts across the world and are now being assembled in India.

The iPhone SE packs the latest A13 Bionic processor, which also powers the flagship iPhone 11 series, and features the same design as the iPhone 8 and earlier models.

Whether or not the assembling the iPhone SE in India will have any impact on the smartphone’s prices has not yet been revealed.
