Amazon Prime Day 2020 Canada on October 13 Says Report

Amazon’s Prime Day event usually takes place in the summer, but was delayed this year due to COVID-19. But a new report from The Verge says Prime Day is set to take place on October 13 and 14, according to an internal email.

“An internal Amazon email seen by The Verge confirms that its Prime Day shopping event will take place October 13th and 14th, and that the company will make an official announcement September 27th,” reports the site.

Prime Day is a global event and the alleged dates for mid-October would also apply for Amazon Canada. The shopping event offers deals exclusively for Prime members.

The mid-October date for 2020 Prime Day would allow for a big enough gap between Black Friday, another big shopping event of the year, set for late November, according to Tamebay.

Back in May, it was reported Prime Day was being delayed until September, but now it appears October will be the actual month.

One thing’s for sure, with Apple’s new iPhones (and possibly more) reportedly set for October, plus Prime Day and then Black Friday in November, get your wallets ready for what many expect to be a big shopping season this holiday season.
