Tesla Speed Limit Sign Support Coming to Canada in Next Update
Tesla pushed a couple of software updates for its vehicles today, with the first update introducing Speed Assist for highways to detect speed limit signs in the United States. According to TeslaNorth, Canadians will be getting the ability to track local speed sign limits with their Tesla in the next update.
In addition to Speed Assist, today’s 2020.40.0.1 update has also introduced a Priority Bluetooth Device feature as well as a Glovebox PIN. Meanwhile, the second 2020.40.0.4 update has added a Mobile App Vent Windows feature for Model S, and a Charge Port Inlet Heater for Model 3 and Model Y.
In a Tweet earlier today, Tesla hacker @greentheonly noted that more features are also coming in 2020.40. He said that the heated charge port feature will eventually reach Model S and Model X and that local speed limits will be debuting in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand as well.
So with 2020.40 now out we can see that one of the new chargeports reported earlier was Model 3/Y chargeport with inlet heating. and now this heating support was enabled (model S/X upcoming later it seems).
