Fido Offering $45 Bill Credit on New Activations, Hardware Upgrades
For new Fido activations and hardware upgrades, the Rogers-owned company will be giving $45 bill credits, as part of a “competitive match”, according to documents seen by iPhone in Canada.
The internal memo details the one-time $45 bill credit started on October 8, 2020, and is available for staff to “help close your sale.” This credit essentially will offset the recently increased Fido Setup Service Fee, which costs $45 for activations (waived for online activations and upgrades).
Fido currently has a promo on its referral program, offering $50 per person (up from $25) for those referring and signing up under friends.
