Rogers-owned Fido has doubled its referral program, now offering customers and their friends $50 each when referrals are made.
Normally at $25, the bump up to $50 each appears to be made ahead of a busy fall shopping period, with Black Friday upcoming and also Apple’s iPhone 12 line up expected in October.
“You’ll both get a $50 bill credit, which is double the credits for a limited time when you invite your friends and they join Fido,” explains the company’s website.
Fido says “once Program requirements are met, a referral credit of $50 (previously $25) will be applied to respective accounts of Referrer and Referee after the Referee has been an eligible Fido customer in good standing for 30 days.”
The fine print says the referral program requires you to be an active Fido postpaid customer with a data, talk, and text, or data and text plan with an account that’s been in good standing for 30 days. There’s a maximum of $300 per calendar year per account.
According to Fido the referral program bonus offer ends on December 31, 2020.
