MagSafe Duo Charger Approved By Korea’s NRRA Regulator

Apple’s upcoming MagSafe Duo charger has been approved by South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency (NRRA), indicating that a launch may be imminent.

MacRumors spotted the MagSafe Duo wireless charger first on Korea’s NRRA certification site. The listing offers little information on pricing or availability, but it does hint at Apple working on the launch of the accessory.

The Cupertino company has not yet released any price details or release date for the MagSafe Duo charger. It is also not listed in the Apple online store. Apple only stated that the charger will arrive at a “later date.”

That doesn’t mean for sure that it’s about to be released as it’s just a necessary step along the way, but Apple products do often get compliance certification not long before they are released.

If true, it’ll likely be released in Korea before other regions, given we’ve only heard about the Duo Charger passing compliance by that country’s NRRA regulatory agency. But after compliance, Apple doesn’t usually wait long to set a product release date.
