Twitter Launches ‘Fleets’ Feature for Tweets that Disappear After 24 Hours

Twitter has just launched a new ‘Fleets’ feature worldwide, which allows users to send out Tweets that disappear after 24 hours, similar to the Stories feature on Instagram and Facebook. According to Twitter, Fleets can include text, photos, as well as videos.

“Because they disappear from view after a day, fleets helped people feel more comfortable sharing personal and casual thoughts, opinions, and feelings,” said Twitter’s design director, Joshua Harris.

Fleets will be available at the top of users’ home timelines on Twitter and on the sender’s profile.

Meanwhile, Twitter has also confirmed that it is working on a live audio feature, called Spaces, that it plans to test soon.
