After testing Wealthsimple Trade and Crypto for desktop in limited beta back in October, the release is now available for everyone.
Wealthsimple Trade launched two years ago and offers unlimited stock trading with $0 commission, available for various U.S. and Canadian stocks, plus exchange-traded funds (ETFs). It’s essentially the Canadian version of the popular trading app Robinhood in the U.S., but in Canadian funds only for now.
The desktop launch of Wealthsimple Trade and Crypto offers limited features taken from the mobile app. But Wealthsimple says “We’ll be adding more so that the experience is the same — no matter where you’re trading.”
Here are the desktop functions right now, according to Toronto-based Wealthsimple:
