If you own Apple’s new AirPods Max wireless headphones, you may have experienced a bug that sometimes happens when switching between the ANC and transparent mode.

According to AirPods Max users, only one of the cups gets ANC while the other stays in Transparency mode when switching.
While the issue is certainly annoying, especially after spending $779 CAD ($872.48 after tax in B.C.) on a pair of wireless headphones, it is fortunately quite easy to resolve.
As pointed out by Techcravers, here’s what you need to do to fix your AirPods Max (via Reddit):
“You just need to reset or reboot your AirPods Max by simply press and hold the noise control button and the Digital Crown until the LED flashes amber.”
Apple is expected to address the issue permanently in an upcoming software update but until it does, a simple reset or reboot should do the trick.
