Spotify has increased the price of its Premium Family plan, increasing it by $1 per month to $15.99 CAD in Canada.
The new price change kicks in today, according to an email sent to customers on Monday, explains iPhone in Canada reader, Gord.
“Starting February 1st, 2021, we’re increasing the price of Premium Family so that we can continue innovating and investing to bring you the best experience and more value, like new content and more features that you can enjoy as a family and as individuals,” explains the email.
Spotify says existing Premium Family subscribers will get two free additional months at the $14.99 CAD price, before it increases to $15.99, starting on April billing dates.
“Thanks for being a fan of Premium!”, explains Spotify.
Subscriptions to services aren’t getting any cheaper. Upcoming price increases are coming to Netflix and Disney+ as well.
