
Apple Unveils 24-inch iMac Powered by M1, New Colours, Touch ID
Apple has unveiled its 24-inch iMac with 4.5K Retina display, powered by M1 and also comes in six colours, and is incredibly thin thanks to Apple Silicon.
The new iMac has a 1080p HD FaceTime camera, more mics and also a new improved sound system, consisting of six speakers, to support Dolby Atmos and spatial audio.
iMac now has 4 USB-C ports and can support up to a 6K display. There’s now a magnetic power connector. Ethernet now connects to your power adapter to reduce clutter.
There are also three keyboard choices: Magic Keyboard; Magic Keyboard with wireless Touch ID and one with a numeric keyboard. Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad are also available in matching colours as well.
The first four colours of iMac are available for the 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU version, from $1,299 USD. To get other colours, you’ll need to spend $1,499 USD for the 8-core GPU version, which comes with the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID.
The new iMac is priced from $1,599 CAD and can be ordered on April 30, 2021.
