Apple Extends AppleCare Protection Plan for Apple TV to 3 Years for Existing Customers

Apple started emailing Apple TV customers this week with the company’s AppleCare Protection Plan, noting it had increased coverage for an extra year at no charge.
According to an email received by iPhone in Canada reader, Harjot, Apple says “your AppleCare Protection Plan for Apple TV now provides three years (instead of two years) of technical support and additional hardware service options from Apple TV purchase date.”
Apple says the extra extension is “at no charge to you,” adding customers do not need to take any action, in the email dated May 4, 2021.
“The new Coverage End Date of your AppleCare Protection Plan for Apple TV will automatically be adjusted. You can verify your coverage on checkcoverage.apple.com,” concluded Apple’s email, signed off by the AppleCare Protection Plan Team.
With the recent launch of the refreshed Apple TV 4K with new Siri Remote, Apple debuted AppleCare+ for the first time for its streaming set top box. With AppleCare+, there is the added peace of mind with accidental damage protection incidents included.
