Sonos and IKEA to Unveil New Symfonisk Speaker on June 15

Sonos and Ikea have announced they will be holding a special event on June 15, 2021, to unveil the newest Symfonisk speaker.

The presentation will see Stjepan Begic, Product Developer, IKEA of Sweden, and Sara Morris, Principal Product Manager, Sonos, and more discuss the newest Symfonisk speaker.

An IKEA Canada spokesperson told iPhone in Canada this will be the “first sneak peek of the much-anticipated product we’ve been collaborating on with the sound experts at SONOS,” adding the digital launch event will be an hour long.

Back in April 2019, both companies unveiled their Symfonisk bookshelf and table lamp speakers (click here to read our hands-on). These speakers saw new coloured covers debut in October 2020.

Back in April, Sonos teased on Instagram a new Symfonisk speaker was coming and with today’s media event announcement, that has been confirmed.

What’s coming at the event? Earlier this month, The Verge shared images of what appears to be a “picture frame with Wi-Fi speaker” that leaked on IKEA’s website.
