iPhone SE 3 Expected to Launch First Half 2022 and Feature A14 Bionic Chip

A new model of Apple’s entry-level smartphone, the iPhone SE is expected to launch in the first half of 2022. The ‘iPhone SE 3’ is said to feature a 4.7-inch display and be powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chip.

In a new report from Digitimes, it’s been said that Apple’s iPhone SE 3 will be released in the first half of next year. According to the report, the iPhone SE 3 will be based on iPhone 12’s processor, the A14 Bionic chip. According to sources, orders for the next-gen entry-level phone will usher in new business for what is being called chip probing specialists. TSMC subsidiary Xintec will be a part of this program and will help in testing for quality.

The latest report echos previous statements that have been released in the past by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who slated the release of the next-gen iPhone SE for early 2022. In recent months, Kuo has expected a new iPhone SE to be released in the new year. Reports stated that the iPhone SE 3 may feature 5G network connectivity and will be the “cheapest iPhone ever”.

Apple has not often shied away from offering a low entry barrier and having it be an intregal part of its iPhone ecosystem. The release in the first half of 2022 lines up quite well as the iPhone SE 2 released on April 24, 2020. Only time will tell to see if Apple does indeed include the aforementioned specs as well as maintain the low price point needed to make it the “cheapest iPhone ever”.
