‘TikTok Radio’ Music Channel Launches on SiriusXM

On Friday, SiriusXM and TikTok together launched TikTok Radio (channel 4) — a standalone experience that aims to capture the essence of the popular social media platform’s ‘For You’ feed, but in audio-only format.

TikTok Radio will feature round-the-clock tunes that are trending on TikTok, in addition to exclusive shows revolving around content on the platform. The channel will be presented to listeners by TikTok creators, tastemakers, top artists, and DJs.

“Our groundbreaking new channel with TikTok is a first-of-its-kind, capturing the pulse of the global music culture, vibrancy and vitality found on the entertaining social platform and recreated as a full-time music channel on live satellite radio and our streaming platforms,” said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer at SiriusXM, in an issued statement to iPhone in Canada.

TikTok Radio will be “sonically synced” to the TikTok experience, featuring artists like Vancouver’s Canadian HINDZ (@hindzsight), who will present music that the TikTok audience is vibing to and share stories behind the trends each hour.

The channel will play host to The TikTok Radio Trending Ten, a weekly countdown of the TikTok community’s top 10 music trends that will air Fridays at 12pm PDT, as well as sets from DJ Habibeats and DJ CONST and more, who will present LIVE on TikTok and TikTok Radio simultaneously every week.

“We’re so excited to launch TikTok Radio on SiriusXM, which opens up artists and creators like this amazing group of hosts to new audiences,” added Ole Obermann, Global Head of Music at TikTok, in a statement.

SiriusXM Subscribers can listen to TikTok Radio (ch. 4) online, on-the-go with the SXM App, and on connected devices including smart TVs, devices with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, Apple TV, PlayStation, Roku, Sonos speakers and more.
