Apple Rolls Out Updated Firmware for AirTags
Apple has just released a new firmware for AirTags, taking the firmware version to 1.0.291 with build number of 1A291a, up from the previous 1A287b (via MacRumors).

As of new, there is no word as to what changes have been included in the latest AirTags firmware. Back in June, Apple updated the AirTags firmware with anti-stalking enhancements.
AirTags receive firmware updates automatically over the air, meaning there is no way to force the update manually. You simply need to put your AirTag in the range of your iPhone and wait for the firmware to roll out to your device.
To check your current AirTag firmware version through the Find My app, here’s what you need to do:
- Open up the Find My app.
- Tap on the Items tab.
- Tap on the AirTag that you want to check in the list.
- Now tap on the name of the AirTag to see the current firmware version.
Let us know if your AirTag has been updated to the latest firmware and if you notice anything new in the comments section below.
