Apple Watch Series 7 to Ramp Up Production Late September: DigiTimes

We might not have to wait very long for the reportedly-delayed Apple Watch Series 7.

A delay affecting Apple Watch Series 7 manufacturing could be short-lived, with a new report from DigiTimes (via MacRumors) claiming Apple will ramp up production in late September.

The report comes just days after multiple sources claimed that Apple Watch Series 7 production could be delayed due to design complexities. However, DigiTimes does not make it clear if Apple will launch the Apple Watch Series 7 alongside the iPhone 13 series at its rumoured September 14 event.

Apple could very well announce the wearable in mid-September and then put it up for sale a couple of weeks down the line.

In addition to a revamped design, which is expected to bring a squarer, flatter, iPhone 12-like design, the Apple Watch Series 7 is rumoured to come with a faster processor and larger display panels that take advantage of new lamination technology.

The device will likely be compatible with existing bands, despite shifting to 41mm and 45mm screens (up from 40mm and 44mm options). It could also pack new health and fitness tracking capabilities.
