Disney+ Sends Reminder of New Annual Price Increase to $119.99 for Renewals

Disney+ price increase

Back in February, Disney announced its Disney+ streaming service would increase in price to $11.99 CAD per month and $119.99 CAD per year, up from $8.99 CAD and $89.99 CAD, respectively.

Depending on when you were able to renew your Disney+ subscription, the company has started emailing customers to let them know of upcoming price increases ahead of auto-renewals.

“We hope you’re enjoying the entertainment on Disney+, including all the new TV series, movies, and exclusive originals from Star. We are updating our prices as we continue to bring you even more great entertainment on Disney+,” explained the company.

“If you have an active Disney+ subscription, your Disney+ subscription will be billed and will continue at a new annual price of $119.99 on your next payment date on or after August 23, 2021. Your Disney+ payment method will be automatically charged on that date, unless you cancel beforehand. You can visit your Account Settings to find your next payment date,” says Disney.

Disney explained, “the price of your subscription will be increasing from $89.99 to $119.99 effective on your next renewal date on or after August 23, 2021, which can be found in your iTunes account. To cancel your subscription, either navigate to Apple Support for more information on how to cancel or call 1‑800‑263‑3394 for help.” We set up our subscription in iTunes to benefit from discounted iTunes cards, but those days are done.

“If you are in Quebec, you can call (888) 282‑0010 to cancel and get a refund within 30 days of your next payment date on or after August 23, 2021,” added Disney.
