McDonald’s Canada ‘APPreciation Day’ to Give Away 50 Million Rewards Points

Back in November, McDonald’s Canada started detailing its switch over to a new loyalty program (similar to what they are using the USA) called MyMcDonald’s Rewards.

On December 7, 2021, McDonald’s Canada says this ‘APPreciation Day’ will offer up 50 million MyMcDonald’s Rewards points up for grabs on the company’s mobile app. There will be 50 winners of 1 million points each.

The one-day social media contest will take place on Twitter and Instagram:

“Canadian McDonald’s guests are some of the most loyal in the world,” said Francesca Cardarelli, Senior Director, Marketing Planning & Digital Marketing Strategy, McDonald’s Canada, in a statement.

“We created APPreciation Day as a show of gratitude for the incredible love our guests show for the brand every day, and of course, to give them a chance to win even more MyMcDonald’s Rewards points to redeem their favourite McDonald’s items.”

The end of the old McDonald’s Mobile Rewards program will take place in February 2022. Outstanding rewards punches on coffee cards will be worth 300 points each, up to a maximum of 1,800. Your free rewards within the Offers tab of the McDonald’s app will be available until the end of February 2022.
