SCENE Changing to Scene+ on Dec. 13: Shopping Perks from Apple and More, Plus Travel

Back in September, the SCENE rewards program announced it would be changing to Scene+ on November 22, 2021. But the program will now launch on December 13, 2021, bringing new shopping and travel rewards.

“On December 13th, 2021, SCENE® will become Scene+, an evolved program that brings you new partners, better rewards, simpler ways to earn points and more flexible ways to redeem them,” explains the company’s website.

Nothing will change to your existing SCENE points balance or account number. The new program will offer the following expanded benefit categories, joining existing entertainment and dining perks:

Travel

• Earn points on hotels and car rentals
• Redeem points on flights, hotels, and car rentals

Shopping

• Redeem points through the Apple or Best Buy catalogues or for digital and physical gift cards from 60+ brands

Banking

• Earn points faster with 8 Scene+ banking products

Right now, December 4-12 will be the transition period from SCENE to Scene+, as systems change over. Members can still earn points at Cineplex theatres, the Cineplex Store, The Rec Room, Playdium and earn through Scotiabank SCENE debit and credit cards at this time. From December 8-12, points won’t be able to be redeemed at partners restaurants, however.
