Sports streaming service DAZN announced on Thursday it will be the exclusive global home to Fan Controlled Football (FCF), the professional sports league that lets fans control branding, personnel decisions and also real-time play calling.

DAZN will stream FCF Season v2.0 pre-season events, regular games, post-season games and original programming throughout the 2022 season, available both live and on-demand in Canada, plus the over 200 countries and territories where the service is available.

DAZN will give their American football fans access to FCF pre-season events, all regular and post-season games, and original programming throughout the 2022 season – both live and on-demand in Canada and over 200 of its countries and territories around the world. Football fans and subscribers can rest assured that DAZN will continue to be their home of football in Canada. USA DAZN users will only have on-demand games.

“DAZN has built one of the fastest-growing sports streaming platforms and their partnership will serve as a catalyst in the continued expansion of our global fan base, which is essential to the future of the FCF,” said Chris Pantoya, Chief Commercial Officer & Head of Strategy at Fan Controlled Football, in a statement to iPhone in Canada.

FCF has four teams, but that will double to eight in Season v2.0. The original four teams are below:

  • Beasts (co-owned by Marshawn Lynch, Miro, and Renee Montgomery)
  • Zappers (co-owned by Bob Menery, Trevor May, Ronnie Singh, and Dalvin Cook)
  • Glacier Boyz (co-owned by Richard Sherman, Adin Ross, and Deestroying)
  • Wild Aces (co-owned by Greg Miller, Barbara Dunkelman, Rachel Lindsay, and Austin Ekeler)

“FCF is one of the most innovative leagues in the world and as a fan-first streaming platform, we’re thrilled to bring all of FCF’s uniquely fan-driven and wildly cutting-edge action to DAZN subscribers worldwide. This partnership marks an exciting addition to our ever-growing global portfolio and underlines our commitment to provide fans with their sport, their way – anytime, anywhere, any device,” added James Rushton, Co-CEO, DAZN Group, in an issued statement.

DAZN says FCF content will start live streaming this weekend, starting with the league’s open player Combine tryout on December 18, taking place from Jerry Chabola Stadium in Culver City, California.
