Toronto-based YouTube channel, Unbox Therapy, recently shared a review of Tesla’s newest Model S Plaid electric sedan (via Tesla North).

The Model S Plaid is the newest version of Tesla’s electric sedan, boasting three motors (1,020 horsepower) and all-wheel drive, and takes the crown as the world’s fastest accelerating car in production today.

It has a 0-100 km/h time of 2.1 seconds and can complete a 1/4 mile in 9.23 seconds at 250 km/h. In other words, it’s a rocket on wheels that boasts a 21-inch iPad-like screen in the centre console.

According to the channel’s founder, Lewis Hilsenteger, this is the first Tesla he’s owned and it’s interesting hearing about his first impressions of both owning one of Elon Musk’s vehicles and the Tesla Model S Plaid, which starts at a whopping $175,890 CAD after destination and documentation fees in Canada.

Hilsenteger was overall pretty impressed with the Model S Plaid, from its design, to the controversial ‘yoke’ steering wheel and the insane acceleration, along with Autopilot and Full Self-Driving features.

“I can fit two kids’ and myself hockey gear in here with one set of seats folded down,” says Unbox Therapy, describing the back as an SUV-calibre trunk.
