Citytv+ Launches on Prime Video Channels for $4.99, Free ‘CityNews 24/7’ Debuts

Rogers Sports & Media announced Tuesday it has launched new streaming offerings on Prime Video Channels, which are available for Amazon Prime members.

Citytv+ is a new Prime Video Channel available for $4.99 CAD per month, offering live streams of titles from Citytv, FX and FXX, along with access to the latter libraries of on-demand video content. Also included is programming from multilingual OMNI Television. Citytv+ comes with a free 30-day trial right now.

Also new to Prime Video is CityNews 24/7, a free stream offering news, entertainment and sports stories, including live coverage of Breakfast Television and CityNews local newscasts, supported by ads.

Citytv+ includes shows such as: The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Bachelor In Paradise and Bachelor In Paradise Canada, Hudson & Rex, Chicago Med, Fire, and P.D., Law & Order, Canada’s Got Talent, and more.

FX and FXX’s titles available include the likes of The Americans, Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C., Atlanta, The Shield, Damages, Better Things, and Baskets.

OMNI Television includes daily national newscasts in Arabic, Cantonese, Filipino, Italian, Mandarin, and Punjabi, along with locally-produced and acquired information and entertainment shows in over 20 languages.

Amazon recently announced a price increase for its Prime subscription, which includes access to Prime Video.
