Peloton Raises Subscription Fees, Cuts Bike and Treadmill Prices
Today, Peloton has announced an increase in its All-Access membership fee in the U.S. and Canada for the first time in eight years, while reducing the prices of its Bike, Bike+, and Tread machines to reach new customers.

Starting June 1, 2022, Peloton will be increasing the price of its monthly All-Access membership fee from $39 to $44 in the US and from $49 to $55 in Canada. International membership pricing is currently unchanged.
The cost of a digital-only membership for people who don’t own any of Peloton’s equipment will still be $12.99 a month.
“There’s a cost to creating exceptional content and an engaging platform,” the company said in a press release. “The price increases will allow Peloton to continue to deliver to users,” it added.
Meanwhile, Peloton is slashing the prices of its connected-fitness bikes and treadmills as follows:
- The price of its Bike will drop to $1,445 from $1,745. The cost includes a $250 shipping and set-up fee.
- The Bike+ will drop to $1,995 from $2,495.
- The Tread machine will sell for $2,695, down from $2,845. The Tread cost includes a $350 shipping and set-up fee.
The pricing changes were announced as part of Peloton’s new CEO Barry McCarthy’s vision to grow its community as the leading global connected fitness platform.

the pricing changes were announced…. because nobody is buying them anymore… don’t buy it yet, it will fall further.
The insanely high monthly fee was the reason I decided to buy a non-Peloton bike. I don’t mind paying for a quality product, but $55/month to work out in my home office? It’s cheaper to join a gym.
I used to have a gym membership for cheaper – I went in twice a week – and during pandemic 0 times a week. Between kids, and life, body took a hit.
Peloton sits outside my home office – and I’ve recently hit the century club (along with my free tee) after 3 months of owning the bike.
It’s not perfect. It is expensive. It’s future is very much in doubt. But for today, and for the past 3 months, its served me well. $6 increase in price just means fewer flat whites a month to balance the books.
Fair enough – thanks for sharing your experience. I’m glad to hear it worked out for you. I’m not surprised that it’s a worthwhile product as long as you use it enough.
I tend to do a variety of workouts though, including weightlifting. I only use my (non-Peloton) bike once or twice a week, so upgrading to full Peloton still isn’t worth it to me.
I did the same thing and never regretted it. I bought a Renpho AI smart bike which includes a free lifetime subscription, works with Zwift and all popular apps. It gets heart rate data from my Apple Watch and even works with VR fitness apps. The family loves it and it gets lots of use. I think a lot of people just don’t know there are other options than Peloton.
I have a friend with a Peloton just gathering dust since he can’t be bothered to put on those peloton shoes every time. I love my excercise bike – just hop on and go. Even works with app controlled resistance levels to simulate hills. It’s great.
