iOS 15 Bug Causing Apple Music to Kick Apps Out of iPhone’s Dock
As reported first by TechCrunch, a number of iOS 15 users are noticing the Apple Music app is installing directly to the iPhone’s dock instead of the home screen when downloaded, while kicking out other apps to take their spot in the dock.
Some users have also reported that Apple Music is establishing itself as the default music service for Siri requests, replacing Spotify or any other service previously set as default.
As shown below, iOS developer Kevin Archer also posted a video showing the process of downloading the Apple Music app from the App Store, and the app automatically going back into the default spot of the home screen dock.
Seems like if you download the Apple Music app from App Store, it will automatically appear on your device (iPhone) dock, more than this, it will change any other 3d party app with the Music app. If on your dock, you only have Apple apps it won’t do anything. pic.twitter.com/c0pkO9G2pq

The bug is said to be impacting different iPhone models, running old and new versions of iOS 15.
In a statement to 9to5Mac, Apple has now confirmed that this is an iOS 15 bug and it is currently being investigated.
