TekSavvy is another company impacted by the Rogers network outage, as the former is a buyer of wholesale internet from the latter to resell to customers.

Early this morning, the company announced, “Please note that there is currently a large spread incumbent outage that is impacting all internet and wireless (including cellphone) users, as well as third-party customers like TekSavvy.”

“This also impacts our contact centre phone lines,” added TekSavvy, noting “There is currently no ETA.”

Less than an hour ago, TekSavvy provided an update, saying “We are currently still experiencing a large-scale service outage that is impacting some cable internet services in Ontario, Quebec & Eastern Provinces.”

TekSavvy did say “our phone service has been restored.”

In an interview with CBC News, Rogers was unable to provide an ETA on when cellphone and internet services would be back online. The company also suggested outages may last longer than today.

Rogers did say “millions” of customers nationwide were affected, including enterprise customers. The company said earlier today it would be crediting customers for the outage.

Numerous services across Canada are down due to the Rogers outage, including the entire INTERAC network for debit and e-Transfers, while the ArriveCAN app is also being affected, say border services.
