Sasktel announced on Wednesday the launch of its Cloud PVR service on maxTV Stream, allowing customers to record their favourite shows and watch them whenever they want.

The Cloud PVR service will be available on maxTV Stream Basic, Plus, and Premium packages.

“This announcement further demonstrates SaskTel’s dedication to the people of Saskatchewan, and their strong commitment to deliver some of the best communication and entertainment services available today,” said Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel, in an issued statement.

The maxTV Stream service is a streaming media box that includes preinstalled apps such as YouTube and Netflix, along with over 160 TV channels, and is available in over 400 communities.

“Whether you’re cozying up on the couch or have time before the next game at the rink, now is the perfect time to catch up with the latest TV series or throwbacks,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO in a statement. “And because we’ve seamlessly integrated Cloud PVR into the maxTV Stream platform, all customers need to do is pick up their remote or smartphone to start watching their shows, movies, and the latest Live Local events.”

The new Cloud PVR feature offers up to 300 hours of recorded content stored in the cloud, that can be accessible from your home from your maxTV Stream media box, or on your smartphone or tablet through the SaskTel maxTV app.
