Prime Video has announced the premiere date for its much-awaited new series, “Fallout,” set to debut on April 12, 2024. The announcement coincided with the 26th anniversary of Fallout Day, an annual event celebrating the iconic video game franchise on which the series is based.

To engage its global fanbase, Amazon Studios also launched the series’ official social media channels, featuring an interactive Pip-Boy interface graphic that cleverly embedded the release date.

The series is set in a post-apocalyptic future in Los Angeles and will be part of the official canon of the Fallout games. It is produced by Kilter Films and executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, known for their work on “Westworld.” The series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.

The ensemble cast includes notable actors such as Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, and Kyle MacLachlan, among others. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as the executive producers, writers, and co-showrunners. The series is produced in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, with Jonathan Nolan directing the first three episodes.

With a high-profile team both in front of and behind the camera, “Fallout” is poised to be a significant addition to Prime Video’s original programming lineup.
