CRKD Announces Nitro Deck+ for Nintendo Switch is Now Shipping, Starting at $98

CRKD, the company behind many premium gaming accessories, has announced that it’s begun shipping its Nitro Deck+ handheld dock for Nintendo Switch and OLED models
Nitro Deck+ is an upgraded version of the Nitro Deck, offering a number of improvements and enhancements based on community feedback. The Nitro Deck+ offers the same footprint as the original while supporting two tentpole versions of the Nintendo Switch.
CRKD has gone back to the drawing board and refreshed the system to provide better ergonomics. The company has shifted the placement of the right thumbstick to accommodate a symmetrical design. On top of that, the Nitro Deck+ features a new ‘Sidekick’ button on the side of each thumbstick. These are pre-programmed to offer the use of the A and B face buttons so users don’t have to move their thumbs as much. These can also be used alongside the re-mappable back buttons.
Nitro Deck+ is a system that enables standard play by virtue of its onboard controls and allows players to play their Nintendo Switch on their TVs without an external dock. The device offers an integrated USB-C to HDMI output, letting players swap between the handheld and the TV modes without removing the system from the Nitro Deck+. If a player must remove the system, CRKD has built in a new easy eject system.
Nitro Deck+ also features Hall-Effect sensors built into the thumbstick, reducing the chances of stick drift. There are also swappable stick tops for better grip and personal needs. Nitro Deck+ also integrates gyro motion controls for supporting games. There’s also Bluetooth connectivity enabled as well.
CRKD has begun shipping Nitro Deck+ for those who have preordered and purchased a device in either ‘Clear Black’ or ‘Clear White.’ In Canada, Nitro Deck+ starts at $98. However, there is also a $112 option when purchasing the device alongside the HDMI adapter.
