How to Watch Today’s Nintendo Direct and What to Expect

Today, Nintendo is hosting a new installment of its Direct showcase. Offering a look at upcoming games and updates, the Nintendo Direct will surely be one to look forward to for Nintendo Switch owners.
Announced on Monday, the June 2024 Nintendo Direct will be live-streamed online. The company revealed that the entirety of the show will focus on “games coming in the second half of 2024.”
In addition, those hoping to hear about a new console should keep their expectations in check. Nintendo states there will be no news about a Nintendo Switch 2 or any new hardware. “There will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation,” the company said in their post.
With that in mind, Nintendo will be making a huge splash in terms of its gaming output for the remainder of the year. Today’s Nintendo Direct is said to be “roughly 40 minutes” long so there’ll likely be plenty of announcements and reveals to keep audiences engaged.
While Nintendo will keep many of its announcements close to the vest, a few upcoming Nintendo Switch games will likely be discussed. This includes Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble, launched on June 25th. Two days later, the highly anticipated Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD lands on Nintendo Switch on June 27th. Both games may be mentioned during today’s Nintendo Direct.
There are also a couple of games further out that could get a nod during the livestream. This includes Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, which will launch on July 18th. World of Goo 2 arrives on August 2nd. Plus, following Summer Game Fest, Guerrilla Games’ Lego Horizon Adventures was revealed to be arriving on Nintendo Switch, making it the first PlayStation game on a Nintendo console in decades.
With 40 minutes to cover first-party and third-party reveals for the next six months, today’s Nintendo Direct will be one to keep an eye on.
The Nintendo Direct will be available to view on the company’s official YouTube channel as well as its Twitch channel.
