Rogers Adds Disney+ at No Extra Cost for Select TV Subscribers

Rogers has announced select Rogers TV packages now include Disney+ Standard with Ads at no extra cost.
Disney+ Standard with Ads normally costs $7.99 per month and includes support for streaming on up to two devices with 1080p HD video quality. This Disney+ plan is now included with Ignite Internet and TV bundles, that start at $140/month on a 2-year ValuePlan ($180/month afterwards). The entry plan includes Internet 75 and Popular TV.
“Rogers is one of our most valued and long-standing Canadian partners,” said Justin Connolly, President of Platform Distribution, Disney Entertainment, in a statement. “With the inclusion of our unrivaled Disney+ content as part of Rogers premier TV packages moving forward, we are embracing consumer convenience and meeting them where they are.”
Other bundles such as Internet 300, Internet Gigabit and Internet 1.5 Gigabit with Popular TV also include free Disney+ Standard with Ads.
iPhone in Canada has learned that all new and existing Rogers customers with Ignite TV bundles (any internet tier + Total, Popular, Premier, or Flex 20 TV) will get an email with activation instructions for Disney+ sent to the email on their account.
“We want to deliver more value to our customers and create a more seamless viewing experience,” said Bret Leech, President, Residential Services, Rogers, in a statement on Tuesday. “By integrating Disney+, we’re adding even more value to our entertainment packages and making it easier than ever for customers to enjoy the shows and movies they love.”
If you’re on one of these Ignite Internet and TV bundles that doesn’t include Disney+, you may want to switch or reach out to Rogers.

I got the email this afternoon but was very wary since I had not heard anything about this new provision from Rogers at all. You’d think they would inform you on your most recent bill. I don’t blindly click links I think are too good to be true. The last thing is need is someone to compromise my information further than it already has been (been hit twice in a decade).
Maybe I’ll call Rogers and ask if it’s legit.
